How does something look like in a certain time and circumstances? This is the
main question I ask myself when making a photograph. The photograph functions
as a document for me and hopefully for others too. Now and in the future.
Photography is a good tool for registration. It delivers in an efficient way a
detailed image, gives the surface of the image the same attention all over (the
surface sensible for light is exposed almost equally) and shows that a subject
excists or did excist.
But what is the value of this photographic image? Photography functions like a
filter. And the way the filter works is the decision of the photographer.
